XC skiing, snowmobiling and you can check out the historic Olympic ski jumps too. Make sure to make a quick stop at Alexander falls a beautiful waterfall accessible on route in the summer- in the winter you can snowshoe to it!

Located just 20 minutes south of Whistler is the amazing Olympic nordic skiing park in Callaghan Valley. A great family day activity.

Whistler Olympic Park is the place to go for Nordic skiing and snowshoeing. You can even take a Biathlon lesson. The lodge offers rentals and lessons.

“Cheakamus Lake is a lake in Garibaldi Provincial Park on the southeastern outskirts of the resort municipality of Whistler, British Columbia. It has an area of 5.7 km². It is an expansion of the upper Cheakamus River, with the river entering it at its east end and exiting at the west end. In 2005, 40,000 litres of sodium hydroxide were spilled into the Cheakamus River, well downstream of the lake, as a result of a CN train derailment”
