Wander through lots of unique local shops with local artists in an historic setting. Free parking if with a purchase receipt.
This is a great little spot downtown. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the Cotton Exchange. Check out the German Cafe. They have really good homemade desserts. Pastries that are so flaky and light... Be sure to get some of the whipped cream on top. Gah. So good.

“DINNER - Not only is the food great BUT the atmosphere is to die for. This is an EXPERIENCE rather than just a meal. Dine outside for what feels like a very Disney-theme-parked attraction. We recommend getting the appetizer sampler and wanted to let you know they mean business when it comes to spicy. Anticipate things being spicier than notated but otherwise really good. ”

“Moored in quiet dignity and majesty the Battleship NORTH CAROLINA, across the river from downtown Wilmington, beckons visitors to walk her decks. Envision the daily life and fierce combat her crew faced in the Pacific Theatre during World War II.”
