Cool tour of one of a mine that was one of the biggest of its kind back in the day.

If you're heading up to Squamish or Whistler, why not pop into Britannia Mine Museum and learn a little bit of BC history. Underground tours are offered 7 days a week and well worth it! Make sure you make a pit stop at the Galileo Coffee Company next door for some locally roasted coffee!

A fascinating historical museum a little over 35 miles away on the gorgeous sea-to-sky highway Enter the mines, ride a train, pan for gold, and explore life in the mining communities. A great day trip or worth a stop on your way to/from Whistler.

Ski Area
“Whistler Olympic Park offers ready access to winter cross-country skiing trails. You can still see the ski jumps and a set of Olympic Rings at this facility, as put in place for the 2010 Olympics. In winter, Nordic skiers take to the groomed trails while snowshoers follow the route to Alexander Falls and other viewpoints.”

“As BC's most scenic golf course, Furry Creek perfectly captures the most spectacular qualities of this part of the country. This par 72, 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves and built in 1993 offers panoramic ocean views and encounters with abundant wildlife, and is just 35 minutes north of Vancouver, along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway.”

“You can camp here or just go for the day. There is diving and you can either dive or watch the divers come out of the water. If you park and walk far into the park, through the campground, at the other end is this beautiful little cove with soft grass, perfect spot for a picnic. ”

Natural Feature
“Cat Lake: Located approximately 15 minutes north of Squamish is a popular swimming hole called Cat Lake where you'll find access to rope swings, wooden rafts, hiking and biking trails as well as 36 forested walk-in campsites. Take the access road just north of Alice Lake Provincial Park where you’ll find a parking area approximately 3 kilometers east of the Sea to Sky Highway. There is a walk of about one kilometer to reach the campground from the parking area. The area is a busy spot for young campers and can get a bit noisy. If you’re looking for a quieter retreat you may want to visit this particular spot during the week. ”
