At the Carbondale red light on Hwy 82, turn north, park in the provided area and hike to the top of Red Hill for a fabulous all encompassing mountain view. Short hike 1.5 hours uphill. Easy close hike with rewarding view.

For a quick in-town hike head over to Red Hill. The newly improved trail system takes you for a quick, steep hike to a view of all of Carbondale. This area is full of incredible hiking but Red Hill is definitely the answer for a quick workout and great view.
