This small restaurant has great authentic Chinese street food made from healthy ingredients. They have a variety of Dim Sum and noodle dishes (both rice and regular). I always order the "Vegetarian". It's super yummy. You can add various sauces after ordering to make it your own. Added bonus, it's only a 5 minute walk from the house.

Parks & Nature
10 minute walk from our house. This is one of the most popular trails in boulder. At this trailhead you will find a network of 3 trails. Mt. Sanitas (ascending a mountain with 1340 feet of elevation gain), the Valley Trail which is a gravel path that is slightly uphill, and Dakota Ridge that parallels the Valley Path, but is more of a hiking trail in the trees. Something for everyone! FYI- It can get very crowded here, so I recommend leaving early in the morning, or towards the evening.

If you continue up Flagstaff road, you will see a right turn to the Amphitheater. Here you will find an outdoor theater with a great view of Boulder (15 min. drive from our house). Follow signs to Artist’s Point (to the left) and you will find my favorite place to have a picnic in town. Once you park, follow the small path to a picnic table with the most beautiful view in Boulder. You can see the Continental Divide from here. Simply breathtaking!

This park is a 20 minute drive from the house, but it’s worth the trip. Beautiful canyon walls with a rushing river. Great hiking. There is an entrance fee to enter.

I know this doesn't sound really exciting, but this tea factory is a really fun visit. Celestial Seasonings is one of the largest manufactures of tea in the country. This factory, which is a 10 minute drive from downtown Boulder, is really interesting, and fun. They have great tours for visitors, and you can actually see the tea being made. It's good to go on a weekday so the factory is functioning. Perfect thing to do if the weather is not cooperating with you.

4600 Sleepytime DrI know this doesn't sound really exciting, but this tea factory is a really fun visit. Celestial Seasonings is one of the largest manufactures of tea in the country. This factory, which is a 10 minute drive from downtown Boulder, is really interesting, and fun. They have great tours for visitors, and you can actually see the tea being made. It's good to go on a weekday so the factory is functioning. Perfect thing to do if the weather is not cooperating with you.

First do a quick visit to the NCAR building itself. They have self guided displays of the weather research done on site. This is also a wonderful place to do a hike.
