I'm a fan of sipping an Aperol Spritz on the rooftop patio by the fire pit around sunset. They also specialize in gin and tonic cocktails, fancy fixins cart and all. Dinner here will be a splurge, but well worth it.

This is the open air mall for which Boulder is famous. Along with plenty of restaurants, shops, and outdoor seating there is usually someone busking...personal favorites are the guy who folds himself into a tiny plexiglass box and the kid that tap dances and plays the trumpet.

At just 2 miles away, this is literally the closest restaurant to the house. And lucky us, because it has a wonderful bar area with a fireplace and several nooks in which to get cozy and play some cards. The restaurant itself is a fairly formal affair with white tablecloth, etc. It's a very popular venue for weddings and events. They have a delicious champagne brunch on Sundays until 1p.
