A steep winding road but worth it for the view. If you want to go to the Flagstaff Restaurant please make reservations and ask about their dress code before you go for a hike.

Boulder Creek Path is a beautiful and relaxing bike and multi-use path that runs through Downtown Boulder. Handicap Accessible from many parking areas along the creek.

There are several hiking trails in this beautiful canyon just a short drive to the South. Limited parking for a fee. Pay online to reserve a space. Worth every penny.

Very close by, NCAR (The Nation Center for Atmospheric Research) has several trails from their parking lot. The building doors are open to the public for a self-tour that is quite interesting for all ages (they also have nice bathrooms). I highly recommend both the tour and the hiking.

The stained glass ceiling is a sight to remember but you will have to ride the manually operated elevator and drink for the glacier fed water fountain to get the full experience. Except for a private wedding or other event, their 2nd story Mezzanine is open to the public often with live music. You can plan to have dinner at one of their restaurants or just have a drink in the Corner Bar.
