Look out to the lake, the mountains and the gardens from every room, with some of the best views from the bedrooms and the wall of windows in the open living area.
Enjoy panoramic views from the hammock in the lush garden with a lily pond or from the shaded natural stone patio with grill. A seasonal waterfall provide soothing sounds. Walk to a private community beach or the Appalachian Trail.
In the winter, after skiing on nearby slopes, unwind in the cozy living room with exposed wooden ceilings, a fireplace and a smart TV, or relax in the claw foot tub watching nature unfold outside.
Lots of windows! Two bedrooms, both with amazing lake and mountain views, are furnished with queen size memory foam mattresses and quality bedding. A large living room, with exposed ceilings, a fireplace, smart TV and a dining area that seats 6, face a wall of windows with garden, mountain and lake views. We have 1 & 1/2 bathrooms. The main bathroom has views to enjoy from a clawfoot bathtub and a walk-in shower. Bath & seasonal beach towels and basics are provided. Our kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to cook and serve. It has a breakfast nook and more views. There's also an outdoor patio with a grill and seating for 6. The patio has panoramic lake, mountain and garden views and the sounds from a small waterfall below. The property has beautiful stone work and lush gardens, including a koi pond with waterlilies.
Because we are allergy sufferers, pets and smoking are strictly prohibited indoors.
You will have access to everything, but some storage areas.
I'll be available via phone or text. There's also a "Ring" smart doorbell installed on the front door. When you press the button you will connect to my phone. I can also unlock the door remotely should you forget your access code.
Greenwood Lake is 9 miles long, nestled into Sterling Forest State Park, only an hour from New York City. The house is part of a community with access to a private beach with lifeguard. Hike on the Appalachian Trail above to peaceful Surprise Lake. Wineries, Antique stores and Outlet shopping within reach. Mt. Peter ski area 10 minutes away.
We have 3 parking spots.
The New York City Bus stops right below us. The express bus takes about an hour and 15 minutes and the reguar bus takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. You can also take the train to Tuxedo, NY and a 20 minute/$20 cab ride to here.
Upstairs the ceiling height is about 6.5'. If you're very tall, you might find this uncomfortable?
