Located on Eday, heart of Orkney's north isles, this renovated croft is on Green Farm with a private sandy beach and copious open space. The Ruah is available all year and is ideal for walking, bird watching, cloud spotting, star gazing, rock pooling, daydreaming - or maybe just relaxing. There’s a walled yard to the front of the cottage with a picnic bench and uninterrupted views of the sea and neighbouring islands.

There is direct access to the sea for paddle boarding, wind surfing or sailing in the bay. Return to the cottage to an open fire. The extensive grounds also allow for simple walks or yoga. The cottage retains some of it's 19th century charm but has been renovated to be a practical and comfortable home.

Mole End Cottage is a cosy humble ‘But and Ben’ single storey cottage made for two with one double bedroom. Offered on a self-catering basis, it has its own private garden, separate private parking and an outdoor seating area. In the West mainland area called Evie, we are around 20 minutes drive from both Kirkwall and Stromness which are the two main towns on the mainland Orkney. The Bothy has NO TV The bed is a box bed that measures 6 feet by 4 feet 6inches. Bedding and towels supplied in an open-plan bedsit with kitchen the cooker is a mini table top cooker 2 hot plates and small oven also a microwave. Wetroom shower and toilet. There is no TV. Bothy is the building on the right hand side of the photo.MAXIMUM GUESTS IS TWO NO CHILDREN UNDER FIVE. No smoking anywhere and no pets. Wifi is in The Bothy

Doehouse Cottage, Sandwick, Orkney

Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. Set in the parish of Sandwick in rural Orkney surrounded by farmland, approximately 1.5 miles from the sea at Skaill beach and Skara Brae and approximately 4 miles from the ancient Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones of Stenness and the recently discovered Ness of Brodgar which is currently being excavated.
