This road has a lot of Chinese restaurants as well as food from other areas. Royal China has a good reputation - not cheap - but it's fun to walk along and just pick somehwere. The bowling alley and ice rink are here too

You can see peacocks, a rose garden, ponds, a traditional Japanese garden, get ice-cream and there is a are two good children's playgrounds - a sandy one for those under 6 and a more adventurous area for the older ones. There's also a natural woodland play area and tennis courts

( closed Thursdays) But on Saturday amd poss Friday there is an antique market at the north end and clothes and furniture towards Golborne Road. Get there before 11 to avoid the crowds - or go late to get the bargains on the fruit and veg stalls. NB there is no market on Thursdays

And there is a nice square next to the saatchi gallery with a few cafes and restaurants which have lots of outside tables. Peter Jones is right opposite Sloane square tube which is a couple is stops on the circle line from Notting Hill Gate and sells men and women’s fashion, children’s clothes, makeup, fabric, bedlinen. carpets, crockery, glasses, coffee makers, and electronics. Most things you could possibly want and all of a good quality.
