Great remote island to boat to. Locals anchor on the intracoastal side of the island and hang out on their boats, the and or venture over to the Oceanside for the surf. You can take a boat taxi to get there. There is nothing man made on the island so bring everything you will need with you for a visit.

Driving is the best way to get around.
Uber and Lyft are available. If you have an early flight, be sure to schedule out your ride in advance. Also, if you go to Wrightsville Beach, be aware that the bridge opens every hour for about 10 minutes, halting all traffic during this time so try to avoid driving across the bridge near the hour.
