The area has become attractive to tourists who want to stay near the beach without having to deal with the heavy traffic of the island. The area is dotted with seafood restaurants and fishing charters, water recreation sports. The atmosphere is very laid back everyone is in shorts and flip flops. Most shops and restaurants are mom and pop owned. The locals are very friendly and are thankful to the many visitors who come every year.
