This is a very unique 3 mile hike to the top of a cinder cone volcano. It is located in the town of Amboy and is a one hour drive from the house. If you do venture out here you’ll drive right past the Palms Restaurant if you might want to stop in.

The food here is great, don't be fooled by the odd pairing in the name. They do Indian flavors on a naan flatbread "pizza". Slow service sometimes but worth the wait.

Weird cool dive bar way out there in Wonder Valley. It's like being in a ZZ top video. Call before you go because sometimes they are just randomly closed. Not touristy. Mostly locals. Good for groups.
