The photo is from our back deck. You're in a mountain community. We have never been in our home and not had Elk in the yard. At times there have been other animals in the area, so it is very important to keep all the trash and food items inside the home. There are trash containers in the garage. Be safe and healthy!

Sightseeing
Just before you get to the entrance station is a gift shop, restaurant, and stables for horseback riding. The rides go into the park.

City/town information
The General Store is a favorite of ours. Each morning they bake fresh huge cinnamon rolls and muffins. Coffee is 50 cents a cup. It is a short drive north of Estes.

You may want to contact RMNP prior to your arrival. Early evening is a great time to see elk in the park. Here is a link to RMNP for you.
