Sightseeing
A 10 minute stroll. One of London’s few Green spaces that is flanked by the river Thames with beautiful views of the bridges over to Chelsea. Visit the Peace Pagoda, the pump house gallery, the rose gardens, the tropical gardens, a small garden centre and find the Little Rock garden island, over a bridge in the middle of the lake.
Run by the river, tennis courts for hire, numerous outdoor fitness classes to discover and join. Or bike/walk/Run down the Thames path, from the Albert Bridge side of the park, all the way to Hammersmith and beyond. Or walk in the other direction to cross the small foot bridge that lays underneath Chelsea bridge, for numerous bars, restaurants and activities at the historic Battersea Power station.
Foodwise there is The lovely Pear tree cafe, brunch, coffee, alcohol by the lake and the Prince Albert Pub on Albert Bridge Road opposite the park.
Great kids activities: Go Ape - climbing and crazy golf with pizza, coffee and wine. Also peddle car bike hire and the zoo.

Circus Road WestAgain very local, 20minute stroll through battersea park takes you here. This is also a sightseeing trip to see the famous old Art Deco battersea power station, which is now being developed into a shopping, living and cultural hotspot. There’s already a plethora of bars, restaurants and weekly activities to get involved in. Visit their web site for more info.
20 minute stroll. Great for a walk/run or a cycle and very close by. Had an Italian cafe at the band stand selling nice pastas, coffees, sandwiches and alcohol.

Catch a 137 bus for 10min commute or a lovely 40-50min stroll through battersea park and over the Chelsea bridge and you’ll find yourself in the heart of Chelsea - Sloane Square. There’s the Royal Court Theatre next to Sloane Square tube for the Victoria, circle and district lines. Or in the other direction you have John Lewis department Store, the famous kings road for shopping, restaurants and the saatchi gallery for art lovers.

There’s brasseries too like No. 23 and The Octagon for a special occasion. There’s also a local sainsburys supermarket, barbers and hair dressers.

20min stroll up to Clapham Common tube then 2 stops on the northern line to Balham. If you are looking for lots of pub, restaurant and bar choices for an evening out. Theres A large free for 2hr car park at the large sainsburys. A small high street with cinema, health food store, Aldi, TK Max, a Waitrose and the wonderful pedestrianised Hildreth street with wine bars, restaurants and coffee shops. My fave pub is the Balham Bowls Club - nice dining room there. The wine shop and beer shop on hildreth street are great for drinks too.

Live music on a Friday and Saturday and sometimes DJ’s playing in the walk ways. Great for families in the day time too for lunch

Everything from antiques markets to boutiques to TK Max and a department store and right next door to Clapham junction train station to access central London.

An other great night out in a food market. Brixton is a great place to visit for a fun night out with a super cool vibe. Lots to see and do and there’s also a really great shopping and arts scene plus a brilliant independent cinema. The Brixton village market is full of independent shops and restaurants. The other highlights of the area are electric avenue, cold harbour lane and Atlantic road.

An other great night out in a food market. Brixton is a great place to visit for a fun night out with a super cool vibe. Lots to see and do and there’s also a really great shopping and arts scene plus a brilliant independent cinema. The Brixton village market is full of independent shops and restaurants. The other highlights of the area are electric avenue, cold harbour lane and Atlantic road.
My Favourite traditional pub in Clapham
40min stroll it’s just off the Northcote road. Great Independant proper British pub. No pretentious, gimmicks or chains. The real deal
