This has so much history in it and lots to do for families or by yourself. I especially enjoy going here in the evenings when it is cooler. Fun to think about pirates, explorers, and others walking the same streets 500 years ago!

Parks & Nature
A beautiful spot in the city! Right up the street from our house. This park closes its avenue every morning and afternoon for walkers, runners and cyclists. There is an amazing ocean view from here as well as a great breeze! The main park next to the avenue is always open and has a fun, meandering pathway that is great for walking, running, scooters and bikes. There is a paddle boat pond where you can feed the fish and eat ice cream. There is a skate park. There are a few play areas for kids, but be warned, they are usually in a fair state of disrepair! But kids still enjoy them. It's a quiet retreat with lots of trees and plants and very safe during daylight hours.
