Beaches
We are about 5 miles and 10 minutes away from Folly Beach by car or 30 minutes by bike. Folly is the funkiest of our beach towns and our personal favorite. Just take a left out of our driveway, a left onto Camp road (at the dead end) and another left onto Folly Road. Follow it until it ends and you’ve arrived! Parking can be tough so consider taking an Uber or Lyft. If you drive, parking can be found on the main strip, on side streets (make sure all four wheels are in the dirt), or in paid lots on E. Arctic Avenue. Don’t miss the Folly Pier – it’s a stunner!
Chaise Lounge & Umbrella Rental:
If you’d like to spend your day in a little more luxury than our beach chairs offer, you can rent chaise lounges and beach umbrellas from a company stationed outside of Blu Beach Bar and Grille (the beach bar in back of the Tides Hotel). If you enter the beach from the entrance under the pier, you’ll turn right (when facing the ocean) and the rental area is just a short walk (look for a massive pile of blue lounge chairs). Pick your spot and they will bring everything to you and set it up! Rates: All rentals are for the whole day (from 9am-6pm) $35 for a set of two chairs and an umbrella, $15 for just an umbrella, $12 for one chair

We are about 15 miles and 30 minutes away from Sullivan’s Island by car. Sullivan’s is a quaint little beach town with a slightly more upscale vibe and quieter beach scene than Folly. If you’re looking for beach serenity, you’ll find it on Sullivan’s.

We are about 15 miles and 30 minutes away from Sullivan’s Island by car. Sullivan’s is a quaint little beach town with a slightly more upscale vibe and quieter beach scene than Folly. If you’re looking for beach serenity, you’ll find it on Sullivan’s.
We are about 23 miles and 40 minutes away from IOP by car. Like Sullivan’s, IOP is a bit more upscale than Folly but a bit busier and not as quiet as Sullivan’s.

Sightseeing
Head downtown to Charleston’s Historic District (generally considered below Calhoun Street between King Street and East Bay Street). We are about 10-15 minutes away by car. There, you can visit the Historic Market, Charleston Battery, and Rainbow Row while doing some top notch shopping and dining! There are a handful of parking lots that aren’t too expensive, but street parking is hard to come by. An Uber or Lyft ride will likely cost you around $10-15.
