How to get a parking place at the beach
The parking lot at the Siesta Key Public Beach and the smaller parking lots at the different accesses fill up quickly! If you want a parking place get there between 830 and 9 AM in the morning or about 2 hours before sunset— if you’re to catch our spectacular sunsets.

Bicycles rule!
It only takes about 30 minutes to ride a bicycle to downtown Sarasota. Several times we have made a day of it and stopped for food and refreshments.

Safe bicycle route to Beach
It’s only 2 miles by bicycle to access 12 on siesta key beach. Go west on Britannia Road until you get to Constitution Boulevard. Turn left on Constitution Boulevard towards US 41. Head south along the front of the cemetery on US 41.You will see a crossing light to Beechwood Avenue to get you safely across US 41.Now stay on Beechwood Ave to the Stickney Point Bridge. Beach access 12 is immediately on your left when you get to Midnight Pass Rd. I included a map of the route in the photos section.
