Sarah(my daughter) and I did this hike December 2016. Even though she was way faster than me, I did make it. Loved the beautiful 3 miles hike back down, also.

Red Rock Canyon Open Space is a 1,474-acre city park located between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. With 11 marked trails in Red Rock Canyon Open Space ranging from 1.7 to 5.4 miles and from 6,141 to 6,866 feet above sea level.
This is a easy hike but so very beautiful. The picture is of me and my sister the last time she came out.

11195 Hondo AveWhen we first moved to Colorado Springs, we went and did this hike. At that time, it was the hardest hike we had ever done and the most beautiful. We saw a waterfall, beautiful Aspens, and a lake. It has a lot of elevation so bring good shoes.
Wonderful easy trial. You really walk over seven bridges and see a waterfall at the begining.
You will have options at this parking lot to do other trails. Very beautiful and gives you a view of what Colorado has to offer.

The Royal Gorge is a beautiful train ride through the scenic mountains. I highly recommend to take the ride during Christmas time or when the leaves change in the fall.

So much fun. Tons of arcade games, ice cream, popcorn, and funnels cakes. You can walk around downtown Manitou Springs and check out all the stores. This is a must see!
