It's all about the ambiance. Right on Tampa Bay and only a few minutes from our house. Usually packed on the weekends as a local hangout, live music, awesome bloody marys and pretty good food (tuna nachos). A perfect tourist experience. Sometimes we take our boat there for Sunday brunch.

Beautiful views, awesome happy hours (Thursdays are ladies night), great island-style food and excellent service. We love this place, oftentimes boat to it, and the nearby Salt Shack is very impressive. Try one or both!

By far, one of our favorite seafood joints. Very casual with indoor and outdoor seating. It's simple, it's affordable and it's super fresh and delicious. Great happy hour pricing as well. We go here often and tend to take our out-of-town family and friends at least once during their visit. There are a few other fancier seafood restaurants out near the beach (Leverock's, Salt Rock Grill (grilled crablegs!), but for convenience, location and excellent food, CC is a go to.

Feeling lucky? This hard rock has grown immensely over the past couple of years and is a mecca for fine dining and fun times. About 30-40 minutes away.

Neighborhoods
This is our 'hood. It's pretty quiet and full of water-loving folks. The park behind us is perfect for a nice stroll and an outdoor exercise gym. Very zen to walk along the side of the canal. We love this area because it's easy to get to Tampa via Gandy or Howard Frankland or go South over the Skyway bridge to Brandenton and Sarasota.

A sizable, upscale mall, not too far over the bridge - near Tampa airport. Lots of fun restaurants and an Apple store (for when you drop your phone in our hot tub!)
