Head there on a Sunday evening for live jazz and blues acts or take part in the 'not another pub quiz' night, every other Tuesday.

This is much more than a café — you'll find proper meals here (like steak!) and it stays open until 10pm most evenings and 1am on Friday and Saturday nights. Every other Saturday is open mic night, a monthly film club and regular live music events. Best of all it has a liquor licence and serves beers from Bermondsey's The Kernel brewery alongside a short but well-chosen wine list and reasonably-priced cocktails (around £6.50 each).
