This is a great beach on windy days. The large bluff usually blocks the wind. The beach is beautiful and at low tide you can walk around the bluff to another secluded beach. Be careful to watch for the tide to come back in though!

This is an excellent interpretive center exploring the Tillamook forest, its ecology, and its history. Don't miss out on the 15 minute movie the plays every half hour. It explains the Tillamook Burn in fascinating detail. There are lots of great exhibits for the kids and some walking trails along Wilson River just outside the building. Allow 2+ hours.

Oregon beaches are often windy and cold. The summer months are usually warmer, but can still have some chilly weather. If you're traveling outside of the summer months a rain jacket and a sweatshirt are a must.
