The CHS beer scene is hot right now...here is a list of some of my favorite spots in town.
My friend Ben owns this brewery (if you see him tell him Emily Barin says hello!). Check their instagram/FB page for fun happenings (music, food trucks and more). This is located about 5 minutes from the house.

Amazing beer and beer. Try the pretzel and beer cheese-doesn’t disappoint. They just opened up a new location on the marsh just 5 minutes away, go check it out!

A bit further out of the way, but if you are coming home from Sullivan's Island or IOP Beach this would be a good stop over!

Very close to the house in the bustling Park Circle. Great outdoor seating for the nicer nights AND they have a beer named after the neighborhood you are staying in (Whipper Barony)!

One of the favorite local coffee shops that is located only 5 min away in Park Circle. If you want to try something new...the Thai Tea is the bomb (hot or iced).

BUT it has one cute/long/winding community table, wine is included with your lunch or dinner and the food is amazing. Mostly a locals place even though it is located in the heart of downtown.

This place is close-ish to the house (not downtown). Amazing food (my fav is the ramen) and def try the frozen mojito!

I just went to this place for the first time in June 2021 and WOW! You cannot make reservations, but you can put your name down and head over to Mini Bar for some wine beforehand. The food at Chubby Fish is unreal-literally everything was amazing-especially the corn fritters!

Fun local joint! Make reservations. Would be a good place to go when leaving Folly Beach. Spicy traditional food (some items like Dan Dan noodles can be toned down). Mixed drinks are amazing!

You will need a reservation to go to Husk, but my favorite personally is heading right next door and going to “the bar at husk”. Moody vibes, best darn burger in town, in a super cool old Charleston house, and fun drinks.
