Speightstown (located in the parish St.Peter) is one of the 4 main towns in Barbados and the closest one to Mullins (less than a 5 min drive away). It is deeply rooted in historic culture within the architecture of most buildings. It features many amenities like a supermarket, pharmacy, banks), beach bars, restaurants and there is also a boardwalk by the sea.
On the outskirts of Speightstown is the popular Chefette fast food restaurant chain of Barbados.

The second closest town is called Holetown in the parish St. James, which is a 10-15 min drive away. It is larger than Speightstown and has additional places of interest such as spas, Limegrove Mall, and 2nd street (which has night lounges and restaurants).
Some great restaurants in the area are Nishi (sushi), Tides and Juma's.

I love the food and cocktails! The fish tacos, lobster Benedict and french toast are my faves. This is on the Eastern side of the island, about a 25 min drive away.

A nice chill spot to hang out and grab some food with many food trucks and different types of cuisines. Usually open from Wed - Sun. I recommend the pizza from Bacco, the rice bowls from Bento Box and the kebabs from Souriana Arabic Food.

Sightseeing
Bathssheba is a long beach with a dramatic coastline of cliffs and jagged rocks. The seas are rough and not meant for swimming. It's a completely different side to the island and worth the explore.
