This is Queen Elizabeth's favourite French restaurant and only a 15 or 20 minute walk from the apartment. Belalamy's has also won Tatler magazine’s Most Civilised Restaurant award.
Bellamy’s is everything that the modern breed of brash, look-at-me restaurants is not: calm, understated, unobtrusive and charmingly old-fashioned, with a few little quirks to remind you that this is London, not Paris: there are fish fingers and Welsh rarebit on the menu, for instance.
If you do see the Queen - say hi from me ;)

Poppie’s is renowned for their authentic fish and chips - it's unhealthy but Poppie's have won an award for the best fish and chips in the country! Atmosphere is good (particularly if you book at table at the bar or near the DJ and glitter ball).
