Our closest T (subway) stop is Wollaston on the Red Line Braintree branch, a 12-minute walk from our house. It's about a 20-minute ride into downtown Boston, 25-30 minutes to Cambridge. If you don't want to walk, you can park at the station for $5.

This is a really nice park set on a hill with views of the ocean. It's got a pavilion, baseball fields (often a college-level game going on), amphitheater, etc. and it's great for dogs, too.

Entertainment & Activities

This is where the Red Sox play, and even if you don't like or understand baseball, a home game is a real Boston experience. (Even my wife loves Fenway, and she's a New York Yankees fan.) We go to a lot of games and can advise you or help you get tickets if you want. Baseball season runs from April into early October, but tours are available year round.
