It is the first public gallery of London. It was designed by John Soane ( great architect) to house the collection of a friend ( sir Frances Bourgeois) and it is increasingly contemporary, economical and stylish if you consider that it was built ( in bricks because it was cheaper) at the beginning of the 19th century. From home is a 40 minutes walk through a park and Dulwich village. The collection is European art from the Renaissance up to the 19th century
