Charming house with 3 bedrooms and 9 beds. Free WiFi. Central heating. Living room with TV and Chromecast. Dining room with dining table. Kitchen with a dining nook that seats 4-6 people (if you bring in a stool or two from the other rooms). Bathroom with heated granite tiled floor, Spa bathtub and shower. Outside a small wooden veranda overlooking the Fjord and garden. Stairway to the street beneath, next to the waterline. Spectacular scenery and a stunning view - the pictures says it all.

Upstairs are 3 bedrooms with 2 beds in each room. All beds can be made into seperate beds, in 2 rooms they are placed as double beds. Outside the bedrooms there is a landing with sleeping space for 1 person - it will probably suit a child or a teenager best, but an adult can sleep there just fine. The last 2 beds are Moroccan sofabeds in the living room.

Каде ќе бидете

Tvøroyri, Suduroy, Фарски Острови

Tvøroyri is located on Suderø, which is the southernmost island in the Faroe Islands, and on the sailing trip from Torshavn you will pass the islands Skuvoy, Sandoy, Stora Dimun and Litla Dimun, before sailing through the fjord to Tvøroyri. The trip takes 2 hours from Torshavn by ferry.

The village has, among other things, a port, a hotel, a local museum, a dentist, supermarkets, specialty shops, cafes, pubs, a hospital and a pharmacy. The town also has its iconic and beautiful wooden church, Tvøroyrar kirkja, which was built in 1905, where all the local able men from Tvøroyri made themselves available as volunteers during the construction.

There are many other sights to visit on Suderø, and the island is full of Viking history:

Sumba is the southernmost settlement in the Faroe Islands. Here you can experience the 469 meter high promontory, Beinisvørd which is located on the road over the mountain to Lopra by Hesturin.

At Akraberg you can see an iconic and famous lighthouse with the old lighthouse keeper's residence, located in an incredibly beautiful area. The last pagans of the Faroe Islands lived in Akraberg until the village became extinct during the Black Death in 1350 - however, there were 3 survivors, a father and his 2 sons, who all settled in Sumba and married here.

Frodba is probably the oldest settlement in the Faroe Islands, located east of Tvøroyri. The sagas tell that the Danish King Frode was knocked off course in a storm, during his journey from Ireland to Denmark. After several days of sailing, they finally reached foreign land, and King Frode and the crew emptied the ship of livestock and built a farm with the crew on the spot, which was named after the king. Later, according to the sagas, King Frode returned to the farm with more people, and started an actual settlement. To this day, the village of Frodba is still in the same place.

At the village of Hov you can see the grave of the Viking chieftain Havgrimur from the 10th century, which is the only known chieftain's grave in the Faroe Islands. Havgrimur took his horse with him to Valhalla, and a little below his own chief's grave the horse is buried. Northeast of the current church, traces have been found of a ruin that is believed to be the chief's temple/godhouse/sacrificial site (or Hof, hence the name of the village). The first inhabitants of Hov are believed to have arrived around the year 625 in the form of Irish monks - this is just as early as the Danish King Frode according to the sagas went ashore at the village of Frodba, during his journey from Ireland to Denmark.
