Master the art of vegan cheese and fermentation

You will be learning a whole new way of making cheese and yogurt! using wholesome ingredients that are mindfully picked to make the best product possible. By the end of this experience you will know how to open coconuts like a pro, and ferment different nuts and seeds with conviction.

You will also sample and learn how to make kombucha - a fermented tea drink that is tasty and fantastic for your digestion. It's like sipping on healthy champagne!

You will taste different artisan cheeses and yogurt and kefir. Start making your own VEGAN cheeses as soon as you are back from your vacation!

I honestly didn’t expect such an impactful and educational experience, on top of being so much fun. My wife and I learned how to properly open and clean out a coconut, and from that make dairy free milk, yogurt, kefir, soft cheeses, and harder cheeses. Not to mention almond milk! The smoked Gouda was amazing, as was the sun-dried tomato cheese. Lovena is clearly a worldly expert with a great knowledge of how to eat healthy AND delicious food. I would HIGHLY recommend this class to anyone with any level of experience or no experience with making diary free or vegan foods. You will not regret it in the least.

What a unique and cool experience! Lovena was knowledgeable, passionate, and very interesting. We were able to learn how to do things (like hack off the end of a coconut and extract the meat in a professional way) as well as eat/drink the various versions of vegan milk, yogurt, and cheeses. Lovena simplified the processes so that one can do them at home. There was no woo woo, it was all quite educational and practical.

We had a great time at Lovena’s class. We learned lots about different techniques and it was great to be able to get our hands dirty and try making these things ourselves. Lovena is very passionate about Veganism and had lots of stories and insights to share. It was great to be able to taste so many of the different types of cheese, milks and dips. The portions were generous and we left feeling nice and full! :) All in all, we had a great time and would recommended the class to others.

I am not Vegan but took this class out of curiosity and would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys food. Lovena is extremely experienced as well as she is knowledgeable. I can say that this class has moved me and I will be adding some vegan dishes to my future meals.

This was such a fun and unique experience. Lovena was a wonderful teacher, answering all of our questions, providing great information, and allowing lots of hands on practice. Plus we got to eat lots of yummy vegan yogurts and cheeses!

Chef Lovena's vegan cheese making class was an informative, engaging and inspirational experience. As people are becoming super health conscious, becoming a vegetarian is a good option both for the well-being of one's body and also combating global warming. We were introduced first into the fine art of opening fresh coconuts. Practicing "judo chops" on those big nutty fruits can be de-stressing and empowering. Chef Lovena is knowledgeable in the variety of vegan cheeses; so those who are interested are in for a treat. Understanding what one can do with nuts and legumes open up way more possibilities to a vegetarian diet. It was a good value class.
