Industrial Estate with food trucks and drinks. Lovely in the summer for al fresco drinks when the roof is removed.
Pop Brixton is an ecclectic container village in the centre of Brixton, housing great bars and food stalls. There is an event space where concerts and events sometimes take place. This is a great place to meet friends on a weekend, before heading out into London.
A fantastic selection of pop up food places, plus a moochy market with vintage clothing etc.

“The Ritzy cinema opened in 1911 and was one of England’s earliest purpose built cinemas, seating over 750 seats in the single auditorium. This beautiful Victorian cinema is a 20 minute walk from the flat.”

“This Brixton branch - on Acre Lane - is one of three Blues Kitchens in London. The others are in Camden and Shoreditch. Each follows the same theme - food of a southern American bent served to a soundtrack of live music. And while the music of the moniker does play more than a small part on the music programme, it's not all about the blues. Expect, too, swing, soul, bluegrass and Motown. There's usually something on every night of the week. The food menu takes in classic Deep South dishes, with New Orleans gumbo, catfish jambalaya, Texan brisket, St Louis pork rib and a creole bean burger and jerk chicken salads also feature. ”

“One of London’s premier live music venues, the 4,921-capacity Brixton Academy has booked an unbelievable roll-call of music talent since it opened in 1983. Previously this building had been the Astoria Cinema, completed in 1929. Although the lower seating was removed when the cinema was converted in the 70s, a lot of the original neo-Renaissance details remain, like a proscenium arch, false loggia, balustrade and Corinthian columns.”
