McMenamins is an Oregon restaurant institution, with locations throughout the state. This particular restaurant is one of my favorites. Just minutes outside of the city nestled along side a country road. The inside is dark and cozy, and the outside embraces nature's natural beauty, with the advantage of heaters under a tent.

The beer and fabulous, in the trees location. And the tater tots. Go here for the beautiful outdoors and have a beer with a friend.

This is a great local scene for music Thursday - Saturday. Old country setting, good food.

It's a beautiful drive there and the place is so... hmmm, old-fashioned and European in the best way! I like their hummus plate and their burgers with spicy tots. And their fireplace and their outdoor seating.
