Bellefontaine Cemetery is rich in history and nature. Guided tours almost every weekend. Private tours available upon request. Go early in the day. I would not visit after 3pm.

Man, there are a LOT of really famous dead folk in here. William Clark (Yes, THAT one), Gen. Sterling Price, poet Sara Teasdale, poet and author William S. Burroughs, James Eads, Adolphus Busch... Also, some really beautiful mausoleums, and "the girl in the shadow box", a glass enclosed Italian…

“Built in 1914 by August A Busch. Great German food or stop in for a drink to see the place. Their Huhn Schnitzel-Chicken and Hackbraten Meatloaf are delicious. They also have a nice Sunday brunch. 2.9 miles”
