Just a short drive or Uber Ride to our downtown Portland area. It has an array of shops, restaurants on paved and cobblestone streets. This is a must see to appreciate all that our area has to offer. This is the beauty of Maine.

The Portland Downtown shopping experience offers a plethora of boutique shops from fine art and jewelry to Maine Souviner shops (The Blue Lobster). Many of the offerings are created by local Maine artists. During the summer months, you can catch sidewalk vendors displaying their art along commercial street.

We can highly recommend the following cafe/bakeries. 1. Tandem Coffee/bakery at 742 Congress Street. 2. Standard Bakery on 75 Commercial Street. 3. Rosemont specialty grocery, 5 stores in Portland, great baked goods. 4. Little Sprouts Co-op, 649 Congress Street, great pastries, lunch food and coffee. 5. Union Street Bagels, 147 Cumberland Ave, just bagels people, but good ones! 6. Speckled Ax, 567 Congress Street. We buy this coffee to drink at home (do I need to say anymore?). 7. Bam Bam Bakery, 267 Commercial Street. Lots of tasty gluten free products.
