25-30 min commute from the city. Enjoy the drive on I-70 as it winds through the mountains. The overlook provides some of my favorite views of the Rockies with minimal work! Adjacent is Genesee Mountain offering some trails to spice up your drive out west.

Perfect stop as you're going into the mountains. There is a heard of American Bison that you can watch graze or do other things that American Bison do...like defecate and walk over to the next grazing spot..

Buffalo (and baby buffalo). Connects with some hiking trails. The nearby bridge over I70 is a frequent spot for photos, especially at sunset.

A popular, short stop for people coming from out of the state! Easy to drive to and right off the highway. This is our local little buffalo herd.

There is a herd of buffalo and deer that can sometimes be spotted on the side of the highway! They are wild animals, so you cannot count on them, but if you get to see them, you won't regret it!
