Easy access to a beautiful and quiet spot on the Buffalo National River. If you have time for a 1-mile (total) hike, the Collier Homestead trail to the river overlook is wide, level, and lovely. After that, stop in at the Visitor Center before going down to the river. Park near the large pavilion and walk to the river. Restroom is near the pavilion.

The Riverview, Spring Hollow, Buck Ridge, and Rock Wall Trails can all be accessed from the Tyler Bend Visitor Center and Campground Area. Get a dose of history by hiking to the Collier Homestead, a restored Ozark dwelling from the 1930’s. There is a covered pavilion area and many picnic tables surrounding that area with beautiful river views.

Tyler Bend has much more than just the campground area! From hiking trails to swimming, this place is perfect for anyone! Our family enjoys having cookouts here and the area never disappoints!

The 5.6 mile float from Tyler Bend to Gilbert is perfect for beginners and families with children, as the river is typically calmer with less rapids. This float trip is located on the Middle section of the river, which is typically floatable later in the summer when water levels are too low on the Upper section. This float trip features beautiful bluff lines and a cave that you can float into, so it does not disappoint!
