Garibaldi provincial park is located between Squamish and Whistler (approximately 35 minute drive from Whistler Village). Highly recommend hiking to Garibaldi Lake to see the spectacular turquoise blue glacier water that reflects the ice capped peaks and glaciers. Takes about 5-7 hours round trip…

Great views at this lake. A steep switch back trail will get you to the lake. Ask the visitor centre for more details.

A sea of unnaturally coloured water ringed by swaths of forest and a magnificent glacier towering in the distance. The trail to Garibaldi Lake from the Rubble Creek trailhead, just off of the Sea to Sky Highway takes about two hours. You gain a fair amount of elevation, 900 metres in just 9…

“Large tidal lake with fishing, boating, camping & rugged, forested shores home to bears & cougars. Popular in the area is walking, wildlife viewing, hiking, jogging, cycling and hunting (with a license in specific areas and times). All trails are good for hiking, and many are good for cycling (especially ones along the Pitt River dykes). The area is flat, which makes it ideal for leisurely strolls, and the scenery is spectacular.”

“This is one of the most instagrammed places in BC and for good reason. This will be a half day trip for the drive up towards Pemberton, and the hike into the lake. ”

“Cat Lake: Located approximately 15 minutes north of Squamish is a popular swimming hole called Cat Lake where you'll find access to rope swings, wooden rafts, hiking and biking trails as well as 36 forested walk-in campsites. Take the access road just north of Alice Lake Provincial Park where you’ll find a parking area approximately 3 kilometers east of the Sea to Sky Highway. There is a walk of about one kilometer to reach the campground from the parking area. The area is a busy spot for young campers and can get a bit noisy. If you’re looking for a quieter retreat you may want to visit this particular spot during the week. ”
