Airlie Gardens is a gem, every visit is different. The grounds are spectacular even when the spring flowers aren't blooming. In the summer they have a concert series. I use a mobility scooter and was able to get around fine, although some areas were bumpy. The lake has a pair of swans that live there and in the spring you can see them leading their babies around. Lots of of song birds, just a beautiful place to spend the day. Take a blanket and sit on the grass surrounded songbirds and beautiful flowers. The Minnie Evens glass house is stunning. Sometimes they have craft fairs which are fun. A must see in Wilmington.

The Blind Elephant was such a neat spot. We wandered upstairs where there is more of a lounge-feel and a small bar. Nate was our bartender and was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to! Highly recommend.

Deliciously divey worth every penny spent. Welcoming and casual, this place has a great craft beer selection and great specials. Dollar well drinks on Monday? Yes! Small outdoor porch in the back has a great view of the Cape Fear River!
