Our absolute favorite place for seafood! It's not fancy but the food is great and so is the scenery. It's located in a boatyard but the views out back are awesome! Bring cash and BYOB. You'll order inside and then find a picnic table out back where they will bring you your food. If you go at peak times, you will wait in line! We like to go mid afternoon when the crowds are lighter. If you don't like fried seafood, try their seared scallop salad (Karen's favorite) or their lobster roll.

We love Joey's pizza. If you like thin crust pizza, Joey's is for you. Many nights we'll order pizza and take it to the beach to eat while watch the sun go down.

But, if you go at a less busy time you'll get to enjoy the cute décor inside. It's like an old fashioned ice cream shop. It's about a mile from the cottage, so if you walk there you won't have to worry about parking or about the extra calories!
This is where we usually go for our nightly ice cream fix. It's walkable from the cottage and less hectic than some of the other ice cream places.

Believe it or not, we have never been here. It's such a short walk from the cottage but we've never tried it. Friends of ours like to go here for an afternoon beverage and it has a great view of the beach across the street. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

This is probably the busiest grocery store in the area. If you go here on the weekend it will be crowded! But, it's right off the highway and it's the closest one.

There is a parking fee ($20-25 per day), but if you go after 4:30 you won't need to pay to park. This is actually our favorite time to go. Sometimes we pack up our dinner or grab pizza and eat dinner on the beach as we watch the sun go down. There are also usually windsurfers to watch and it's a great place to fly a kite.

But, when the tide comes in and there are lots of people on the beach it can get pretty crowded. If you want to try this beach, get there really early because the parking lot fills up quickly.

The beaches along the national seashore are absolutely beautiful! If you're looking for waves, this is the place to go. Keep in mind that there was significant storm damage to some of these beaches last year. You may want to do some research on line before making the trip and choosing a beach.

Another great public beach in Dennisport. This beach is not close enough to walk to, but it would an easy bike ride (if you want to avoid parking fee...and you brought your bikes). You can sit on the beach and watch kayakers and paddle boarders paddle down the Swan River.

This is my new favorite beach, there is a new winding path from the parking lot down to the beach. There is a rocky area to the left of the entrance to the beach, so I suggest going to the right (especially if you arrive during high tide and can't see the large rocks). My new favorite day is to go to this beach and then go to Arnold's on our way home (only about 5 minutes away from Nauset Light).

They have very good quality items such as sweatshirts, tshirts, baseball hats, towels etc. There is also a Cuffy's general store next door that also has great items.
