A MUST for a real old East London experience. This pub hasn’t been changed in decades. On Thursday Friday and Saturday nights swing music is sung by a small band. Right by the Regent’s Canal it is a great evening out in winter or summer. Also very easy to chat to some East London locals and brings a smile to my face every time!

It is lovely to take a walk up the River Lea and across the Hackney Marshes. You feel like you are in the countryside but it is just around the corner from the flat.

Sightseeing
Check this old London flower market out on a Sunday. Grab a coffee from one of the many cafes down there and enjoy the flowers and the buzz of people. My tip would be to get there later on as it is less crowded. Definitively after 2pm.

This is one of my favourite areas in East London. Check out the restaurants and bars on Broadway Market throughout the day and night and in summer enjoy the LIDO or lying in the park. On Saturday there is an impressive food market.

Shopping, street food with old East London charm. The little streets around it are very old and they do a lot of filming in the area. Walk down Fournier Street for 17th century houses. You can then head to brick lane if you want to look for vintage clothes and wonder around.
