I love this place. It easily ranked top on my list of "watering holes" in Boulder. They regularly craft some of the best drinks I've ever had. I largely go there for quality craft cocktails, but the food is also amazing.

The Leaf is a classy, relaxing little place with an attentive weight staff who are great with answering questions and making any dish the way you like. All the items on the menu are marked for vegans, which is very helpful, but many items that are not can easily be made vegan at your request. Highly recommended!

A really special place. Not inexpensive, but homemade with quality ingredients. We had amazing corn and scallop soup, then a great seafood risotto followed by blackberry crumble with DF ice cream. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous views and amazing trails!! Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the easiest-to-use parks in the national park system and it attracts more than 3 million visitors each year. Winter begins early in Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park’s higher elevations.
Skiing in Rocky Mountain National Park is spectacular in that the scenery and wildlife and bird watching are both unsurpassed in their variety and beauty. Visitors to the park often site cross-country skiing as their favorite winter activity because of the miles and miles of trails from which to choose as well as the diverse terrain available for experts and novice skiers alike. Snow depth varies across Rocky Mountain National Park but the west side of the park usually and has the most snow accumulation. There is usually enough snow by late November or early December to cover logs, rocks and debris so that the trails and slopes are safe to ski. Because there are no ski lifts in the park skiers generally use cross-country equipment that allows them to ascend as well as descend in mountainous terrain.
By December, trails from the Bear Lake and Glacier Gorge trailheads lead snowshoers and intermediate-to advanced skiers to numerous frozen subalpine lakes. The Wild Basin and Glacier Basin areas have gentler terrain for beginner and intermediate cross-country skiers.
To those not looking for snow, Rocky offers miles of east side hiking trails that surprisingly remain snow free – or nearly so – year round. Conditions change regularly throughout the season, so be sure to check at a visitor center for the latest hiking, snow and avalanche conditions before starting out.
Wildlife viewing is especially rewarding in the wintertime. The sights of a coyote hunting in a snow covered meadow, of herds of elk with their breath condensing in the air, of a cow and a calf moose silhouetted against the snow, are unforgettable park images.
