It is a very typical mexican place where food is great (pozole, flautas, tostadas, tacos dorados, enchiladas), service is good , price is fare and it is in the same block as the property.

Probably the best hamburgers and hotdogs that I've had. It is not that they're just two doors from the place but they are really great, if you like meat, Revolcadas are a great option they also have a vegetarian hamburger with mushrooms, amongst a big variety of ingredients.

This is a great option for having seafood in the colony. I recomend Shrimp tacos (tacos de camarón) or coctails (shrimp, octopus)

Although it is not very close to the place, you can take the metro to Refugio station and try the best tortas ahogadas and tacos dorados that I know in Guadalajara, you won't regret your visit to this place. They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays but the rest of the week it's open. Regularly by four o'clock everything is over, so be early.

I know, I know, it is not close at all to the place, but if you wish to visit one of the most secret places in Guadalajara which holds one of the best Mexican deco and folklore, you must pay a visit to this exquisite cafe. You can find some unique souvenirs that you won't find anywhere else. besides, the town is very traditional, it got absorbed by the city so it's a small town with its church and kiosco. So make some space in your schedule, you'll thank me latter ;P To visit this place you must take the metro to Atemajac Station.

Undoubtedly the best tamales in Guadalajara, a lot of people look for them. I personally love the ones of rajas con queso (pepper and cheese) and champiñones con acelga (mushrooms with spinach).

It'sn not one of the biggest mall in the city but you can find pretty much everything that you need for groceries, technology, cinema, banks and some clothing. There are also restaurants: chinese, japanese or tacos al pastor.

This is a flee market that settles on Saturdays which sells only cultural items such as music, clothing, books, crafts. many of the products that you can find here are handmade by locals. they also have a forum for live concerts in the street.

If you want to spend a nice evening at the 'Lucha Libre', Arena Coliseo offers the finest family environment to attend, I recommend you to buy ticket s for the Balcony if it is the first time you come to an event like this. It can be very fun.
