The Dequindre Cut is a below-grade pathway, formerly a Grand Trunk Western Railroad line, located on the east side of Detroit, Michigan, just west of St. Aubin Street. Much of the Cut has been converted to a greenway the colorful graffiti along the pathway has been left in place.The Dequindre Cut Features Biking Lane Walking Path & A World Class Freight Yard destination for outdoor libations and merriment ! Head to the Dequindre Cut for this outdoor beer and wine garden that is nearly the length of a football field and built from nine repurposed shipping containers.

Additional market days include Detroit Eastern Market Tuesdays as well as Sunday Street Market, both occurring seasonally, from mid-Spring through the autumn months. Tuesdays feature a sampling of our historic Market experience, welcoming farmers, produce dealers, and prepared-food vendors, but adding educational, wellness, and culinary events. On Sundays the focus shifts to non-food items such as home goods, art, jewelry, vintage clothing, antiques, and furniture.

At the center of the plaza is the famed Horace E. Dodge and Son Memorial Fountain, designed by Isamu Noguchi in 1978.
