Maybe the best restaurant in Portland. The food is Mediterrean and just exquisite. Great service, good atmosphere. Menu is constantly changing but keep an eye out for tuna sashimi and the beet salad. You're in for a treat!

The best pizza in Portland. Great salads too. Eat in or take out. It has a nice market where you can stop up too. The only downside is that it's a drive, not a walk, from our apartment. But only a few miles away.

The peninsula, where most visitors stay, features a long, working waterfront, a historic shopping district called the Old Port, and a commercial district along Congress Street that dissects and span the peninsula. The West End is mostly residential with some cafes and shops. Munjoy Hill is on the east end, bound by the Eastern Promenade and harbor trails with views of the harbor and Casco Bay, with its many islands. The city is growing and changing as new neighborhoods have developed such as Washtington Avenue, with a row of restaurants, and Bayside, where many new breweries have opened.

Make reservations for dinner and get out on the water!
Portland is all about good food and the ocean. We have some incredible restaurants - and they are popular! We recommend making reservations for dinner as soon as you can so you won't be disappointed.
We also recommend getting out on the water. For kayaking and SUPs, there is a rental company down the hill. Schooner day trips and whale watching tours leave from the city harbor. There's a ferry terminal less than a mile away that can take you out to one of the nearby islands for a day trip. There are some great state park beaches just south of Portland.
