Judds is an old time candy and ice cream shop, nostalgic with many bottled sodas and classic candy from childhood. They also have great soup that varies by the day, and breadsticks to go with it. You can even get a grilled cheese or chicken croissant sandwich.

Great authenticate European crepes. Great for a full meal or just a treat, they have all kinds of filled crepes.
We have been enjoying these crepes for years. I especially love the strawberry and peach filled crepes, sooo good.

Redcliffs is a nearby park that contains amazing red rock formations and in the spring you can find pools and waterfalls in the red rock canyon. It has nice picnic area along the creek and is a great place to spend a day.

Great Lake! Boating , fishing, kayaking, paddle board and cliff jumping. Rent boats , jet skis, kayaks, and paddle boards here for a fun day. Swim or paddle out to the island for some cliff jumping.

Just enjoy the drive up the mountain or take a fishing pole, kayak or paddle board to enjoy the lake at the top. The water is cold but nice on a warm summer day on the mountain. We love this place. Great Day trip.

Kolob Reservoir
Kolob mountain just north of Zion National park and an hour drive through sections of Zion and some beautiful scenery. Just enjoy the drive up the mountain or take a fishing pole, kayak or paddle board to enjoy the lake at the top. The water is cold but nice on a warm summer day on the mountain. We love this place. Great Day trip.
An hour away up in elevation , pine valley is quaint little town with the recreation area a great stop with trails along the creek and lake , a small lake for fishing , or just enjoy the pine trees in nature.

(If you don’t want to pay the day use fee in snow canyon then park outside the north entrance to snow canyon and walk down the road about a mile to the lava tube trailhead. )

Great state park with amazing views and many short hikes. We often see turtles and other small wildlife here.
I recommend entering on the south entrance near tuachan amphitheater for some amazing views.

One of the hallmarks of the area is this “Dixie hill” which overlooks the city. It’s a fun park with rock faces, mini slot canyon and more remnants of old life in the area. There is even a botanical garden on one end of this park.
Make sure you follow the Cliff around the back and climb up and across the bridge to the top of Dixie rock for amazing views of the city.
