Lafayette Park is directly across the street and is considered by many historians to be the oldest urban park west of the Mississippi, home to a gorgeous garden, pond, and Revolutionary War era cannons. You are a short walk from world class restaurants and coffee shops. We highly recommend the following favorite local favorite restaurants within walking distance: Polite Society for brunch, Square One Brewery for lunch, Eleven Eleven for fine dining, Baileys’ Chocolate Bar or Planter’s House for drinks, and Clementine’s Creamery for handcrafted ice creams. Lafayette Park is 10 minutes away from nearly all of St. Louis has to offer. Take in the city at the top of the Gateway Arch. Visit Forest Park, home to the St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum, and the Missouri History Museum, all free! Catch a St. Louis Cardinals game at Busch Stadium (aka Baseball Heaven) or a St. Louis Blues game at Scottrade Center. Experience the music, night life, shopping, and restaurants in the Central West End, The Delmar Loop, South Grand, The Grove, Cherokee Street and Washington Avenue.
