There are lots of great eateries to try in the area. I can't cover them all, but here are a few of my favs.
The Plaza is a four minute walk from the Villa and offers a variety of things: The Frosty Frog has outstanding pizza and about a million frozen drinks! There are four ice cream shops to try out, and there are lots of little shops.

Small, quaint and delicious, this is my place to go around lunch to take a break from the beach. The outdoor bar, or indoor eating make it perfect for whatever mood you're in.

Its not everyone's cup of coffee, but I like this little joint that's recently been renamed The Coffee Shop Near Me. They have great pastries and coffee and they're open early.

What can I say? If you like frozen drinks, they have about 50 on tap! And, probably the best pizza around. Great place to stop for lunch or to get beach drinks to go.

This is perfect for a sit-down breakfast. All the traditional things you'd expect from a good breakfast joint from eggs to omelettes.

The Quiet Storm is a legit surf shop. Don't get me wrong, there are a couple good gift shops/surf shops, but if you like to surf, this is the place.

Need a new bathing suit? Island Girl and other shops in the area are a short walk (4-5 min) from the villa and offer a wide selection of typical beach clothing.

Bicycle is the best form of transportation
If you want to see the island, the best way is by bike. You can rent them next door for $10-$25 a day, and jump on the miles of island bike paths. You can also ride them on the beach, so its a great way to see the beach in the mornings. I like to leave a bike map in the Villa.

Free Shuttle
If you keep your eye out, there are a couple free golf cart shuttles moving around the area all day. Not a little golf cart, the type that seats about 10. So if you want to just get a quick view of the immediate area, I highly recommend you jump on one when it comes by and just ride with them for a bit!
