The south of Dom Rep is wonderful! I will have to say TOP destination to road trip when visiting because of its contrasts and wonderful people along the way. The attractions you see on this road trip are not seen anywhere else around the island.
Because it is near the city and it has the. best snorkeling spot I have ever been too. The people here are so fond of their province its truly memorable! I totally recommend spending a day in Bani!

Local tips for roadtripping Dominican Republic
Traveling this country is super easy you just have to know where to go and what to do. Here are some things for before visiting:
1. Don't bring fancy jewelry, it's a simple country, not necessary. Fresh clothes, bathing suits, if you go somewhere cold bring adequate clothing.
2. Make sure you have all your reservations confirmed before hand.
3. Use a company or someone to give you follow up during your trip if you are a solo traveler, it's recommended.
4. Don't stay in the same place. The magic of this country is getting to know its different cultures around different regions.
