Wimbledon Common is a large free to use park. It comprises heathland, woodland, several ponds and is popular with walkers, cyclists, runners and dog walkers. It is home to the world famous Wombles, though they are difficult to see.
There's a popular Park Run here every Saturday morning at 9am. It's also great for a quiet country walk with a tea room and a couple of pubs nearby. Visit the historic Windmill museum as well. Get the no 73 bus from Wimbledon Town Centre to get there.

This pretty park is at the end of my road. A lovely walk on your way to the station or high street or a great for a picnic lunch in summer. There's a coffee kiosk open most days and 3 laps is equivalent to 1km if you want somewhere nice to walk or run.

This Italian is probably the closest restaurant to my place. It doesn't look the most appealing from the outside but it has a lively and friendly atmosphere. It is reasonably priced, is great for solo diners, and the pizzas are enormous.
