This is one of my favorite places...we have taken our kids here for over 20 years. Lake Erie is noted for having some of the most beautiful sunsets in the U.S.
The harbor creates a beautiful and safe environment to enjoy Lake Erie within the breakwall. Lots of beach glass and easy access for those with mobility issues (or those with a lot of gear and children to carry to the sand!).

Beautiful shaded trail for walking, running or biking....and it is less than 1/2 mile from Candoren Guest House. Connects to additional trails in Geauga County. More info available on Trail Link website.

One of our favorite family destinations...the animals are up-close and amazing! Staff is great and every season brings new exhibits. Especially love the winter Quilt show and the early Spring new animal babies. The not-so-spooky Haunted Hayride in the Fall is great fun for kids of all ages.
