There are lots of places to eat around downtown Indy. My list keeps you (and me) pretty close to Hamilton House. I frequent all these places.
Excellent food. Lots of draught beers. Family friendly. Good for meetings (not loud; not a sports bar).

This is my Cheers place. Food's good. Variety of draughts. Late-night karaoke on Wednesdays. Trivia on Thursdays starting at 9 pm. Best Bloody Mary in town (voted year after year).

I rarely venture to a bar outside of the Near Eastside, but, I am an English Premier Soccer league fan (and soccer in general). This is the best place to watch soccer matches in the city. It's loud and fun. It's about 1 mile from Hamilton House on Mass Ave.
